Margaret Hendry School Special Purpose Review

The Education Directorate has completed the Special Purpose Review of our school.

The review considered four key themes:

Thank you to all students, staff, parents and carers who shared their views and experiences with the review team. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide input.

The review has provided a real opportunity to continue improving the way we lead our school to ensure the best outcomes for every student. It has also allowed us to look at the things that are working well and opportunities to build on these successes.

This includes our Positive Behaviours for Learning program from which we have seen enormous success in the reduction of incidents and embedding our school values into our teaching and learning. The “Booster” reading program has been a success and we are now working to expand on this term 4 as we continue to focus on reading skills, particularly in the early years.

We continue to see a steady growth in student achievement with regard to improved communication skills.

Parents and carers will continue to be updated on our school’s progress though our school newsletters.

You can now read both the executive summary and the full report online.
