At Margaret Hendry School a variety of support mechanisms are in place to ensure the welfare needs of individual students are met. We prioritise caring and effective relationships between staff, students and the community.
Student wellbeing is cared for through a network that includes Allied Health Professionals, School Psychologist, School Chaplain, Pastoral Care and the Youth Nurse program.
Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL)
The PBL program guides behaviour by explicitly rewarding positive behaviours. Through a combination of agreed expectations, recognitions and rewards PBL sets clear guidelines for students. Community consultation will take place in early 2019 to establish PBL expectations and rewards that are specific to Margaret Hendry School.
