CBR Check in
We ask all adult visitors to public schools to use the Check In CBR app to ensure quick and efficient tracing. So if you leave the car when dropping off the kids, or you walk them into the playground, locate a QR code and check in. Please see the front office if you need assistance signing in. I’m hoping that this introduction is not the first time you have seen my face about the school - however as my role has changed, I thought it was best to re-introduce myself. Although I know many of our community members, I am yet to meet you all and I cannot wait until we are all back together onsite again!
My name is Maxine and I am now working as Deputy Principal at MHS alongside Shannon. I have been working at our school since we opened in 2019, and I am excited to continue working with our school community.
As Deputy Principal, I look after our learning communities in years 3-6. Aside from this, a lot of work I do is centred around implementing our Response to Student Need framework. This means working with children, families and educators to make sure that all children are supported to succeed at school. I am passionate about fostering a learning community that is inclusive and welcoming for everyone, and I believe that project-based learning is a powerful way to get all children maximising their full potential. When I’m not at school, you can often find me cooking in the kitchen! I simply love cooking up feasts for other people and learning about food from different cultures. If I’m not cooking, then I’m usually playing or listening to music. I’m always looking to bring passions and interests into school, and welcome any ideas to further enrich the learning at MHS. I’ll also happily welcome any new recipes to try at home! I hope you are all staying happy, safe and healthy throughout this time. We cannot wait to welcome you all back onsite in the near future
Meet our new Director of Family & Community Engagement!

For the last 20 years I have work closely with children, families, and communities in non-government and government services. I am passionate about improving the quality of services to children and families and contributing to a culture committed to building strong, safe, and connected communities.
