Improvements to our School Community updates – Learn about the plans for playground enhancements ready for Term 3
Since the start of this year, you may have noticed some improvements to facilities around our school to support the learning environment for our students and teachers. Purpose built joinery has been installed in all learning communities providing additional storage and improving the functionality of each space. Innovative educational furniture was delivered in March and this has created a more flexible student-centred learning environment. The modular and interchangeable nature of the furniture allows for learning zones to be transformed in minutes, creating quiet reading and learning spaces, through to zones for group collaboration. You may also have noticed two new outdoor decks near LC1 and LC2 that are very popular and being used as both learning and recreation spaces.
In addition to these improvements, we are pleased to advise that further works will be made to our outdoor spaces during the June/July holidays. New equipment will be installed and include inground trampolines, additional sandpits, multiple shaded outdoor learning and gathering areas, a second nature play zone, a produce/kitchen garden, including chicken coop and greenhouse, and an outdoor demonstration area. Plans are being finalised and we look forward to sharing the design with you soon.
