Update from week 6, Term 3 2021
Margaret Hendry School – Infrastructure Update
Playground
The main works to the playground have now been completed, with plenty of positive feedback from both students, staff and families on the new outdoor learning and play spaces.
Landscape and Gardens
The wet weather and COVID-19 Health Directions have impacted the landscaping works. The produce garden will be finished when Health Directions permit work to recommence.
New Learning Community
The extension to the Administration Building has been put on hold due to COVID-19 Health Directions. Other work is continuing behind the scenes with the selection of furniture and ICT equipment. The extension is still on track to be ready for the 2022 school year, subject to weather and COVID-19.
Entry to the school
Thank you for your patience and understanding in following the new access points. Once school resumes, we ask our families to continue to use the new entry and exit points to access the school via the gate near the Community Hub carpark.
School Safety
Once school resumes and building works recommence, staff will continue to be positioned outside the main entry gates and drop off points to ensure children can safely arrive and depart school.
The building site has been enclosed by a construction site fence and will be locked at all times. The fence was put up prior to the start of construction.
Our website now contains a Question and Answer (Q&A) section to give families and our community the opportunity to find out more about certain topics or find an answer a specific question.
